Our Alpaca Fiber is of very fine quality, in shades from creamy white to true black. We have downy soft Huacaya and silky Suri.
We have a carefully selected alpaca herd which we raise solely for fiber. Each alpaca is hand sheared in the spring. The fleece is skirted (sorted by quality, vegetation removed) then washed, carded and hand spun here on our farm.
NO dyes or chemicals are used in our processing. We also have raw fleeces in a variety of colors for the enterprising handspinner.
If you are interested in handspun alpaca stop by the Verona Farmer's Market, Wednesdays from 12 to 5 through the end of October. The market is located at the Augusta County Government Offices complex.
